1)  Seattle Comitium Report: They have 9 attached curiae and 13 attached praesidia.  The Comitium held their Annual General Reunion on December 3.  On Dec. 22, the Comitium officers met with Archbishop Sartain.  He will help them obtain a Spiritual Director, and also asked them to speak to the Archdiocesan Insurance Director. With respect to Insurance issues, Br. Marten will provide the Comitium President with copies of letters given to the Senatus by the IRS.  Reports: Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Curia was closed due to lack of members, and the surviving praesidia will join Tacoma’s Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Curia. . Three annual praesidium reports were given in the last quarter, each with between 13 and 19 active members.   Our Lady of Fatima Junior Praesidium makes Pilgrim Virgin home visits and makes rosary bracelets.  Nativity of Our Lady Praesidium reaches out to the homeless and gives them rosaries and pamphlets.  Mother of the Holy Eucharist Curia participated in the Apostolate to the Crowd at the Jefferson County Fair.  Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Curia visits many nursing homes in Kitsap County, and three of their praesidia are involved in RCIA and junior high religious classes.  Mother of Martyrs Curia visits non-practicing Catholics and helped bring 17 back to the Church.  They recruited 6 active and 20 auxiliary members.

2) Rogue Valley Curia:  The Curia asked for advice about a praesidium which has 11 members - but only two officers, as the other members are too elderly to be officers.  Br. 3) South San Mateo Curia:  They have 14 attached praesidia including English and Spanish speaking praesidia, as well as two junior praesidia and a praesidium at St. Patrick Seminary.  The curia celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, concelebrated by four Spiritual Directors, and with seminarians as readers and altar servers.  The curia day of recollection was attended by more than 50 people. The Curia asked for help at the June San Mateo County Fair Catholic Information Booth, and is seeking ways to reach out to the youth.   Immaculata Praesidium has 9 active and 72 auxiliary members.  They do door-to-door visitation, Pilgrim Virgin and lead the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet after daily Mass.  The all day curia book barrow at Hillsdale Mall in November was very successful.  Thirteen members participated, and were provided a table by the management of the mall.    (Report given by Sr. Angeles, President)

4) Salinas Curia: They have five praesidia after one praesidium closed due to lack of members. A prisoner at Soledad State Prison wants to start a praesidia there and is seeking permission from the prison chaplain.  In the meantime he has started a prayer group each day to pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet.  Bishop Garcia rescheduled the 90th Anniversary Celebration of the Legion of Mary, which will take place on January 22nd at the Carmel Mission Basilica. (Report prepared by Sr. Fabi, Correspondent)

5) Portland Curia:  The council has had good attendance, 90% for the last two months.  In preparation for a Columban Drive, they made a novena to Frank Duff and obtained 29 names of prospective members, of whom five, including several Spanish speaking, attended a praesidium meeting.  The Curia will order Spanish Handbooks.  They held their Annual General Reunion on December 3.  The members prepared a spiritual bouquet for the Archbishop celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his ordination.  (Report by Br. Frost, Correspondent)
